Baby's First Haircut?
How old was your child when they got their first haircut? DD is 3 months and was born with a FULL head of hair. Most people said "Oh just you wait, a lot of it will fall out!" -- nope, that hasn't happened. In fact, it's growing like a weed. She's starting to get a rat tail in the back and it's just starting to get into her eyes in the front. I am assuming she is too young for a haircut at a place? Should I just take the scissors out and trim it myself?

Like five or six months for the same reason.
It got so long!
And his DID fall out -- but sooner than that.
Meaning, he was born, he had tons of hair. It fell out within like the first three-six weeks and then grew a whole new, thick head of hair.
Then at around five or six months it was so long.
So, I just took him to get his haircut lol.
It was great and now he's so used to it.
They had him strapped into a booster seat under the cape LOL!

LOL!

Baby's First Haircut?
DS is the same way, except at the back, he had a bald spot until recently which is growing in, and the top of his head is long and curly. Unless it's in his eyes, I just cannot bring myself to have it cut yet, he's 8&1/2 months. I'm hoping we can wait until at least 1 year, his curls are so cute!

Baby's First Haircut?
We had the same issue. NONE of his hair fell out and it got really long fast. We cut his hair at 6 months.
ETA: I once tried to trim his bangs myself bc they were always in his eyes but he was always moving around and I was scared I was going to hurt him so my DH barber did it ... in literally 3 minutes and did a great job!

Re: Baby's First Haircut?
dd is 2.5 and she still has never had a haircut DS got a haircut shortly after turning one. it was a nightmare! he cried for most of it and just tried to reach for me/climb out. Perhaps taking them sooner is better so they get used to it.

Baby's First Haircut?
DD's hair never fell out. She could use a trim at 16.5m old since her hair is always in her eyes unless she has a ponytail or pigtails. We just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Baby's First Haircut?
I cut DS2's hair myself at 5 months because he looked like a little old Jewish man with long curls on the side. And he's a very pretty boy, so everyone kept calling him a girl. I took DS1 to get a haircut by my friend at 11 months. I've taken him to a few places, but he hates it , so now I buzz it myself with promises of ice cream! You can take her to a kids place and have her sit on your lap!
