Polar Express Trains (I know, Xmas already...)
Last year my family did the Polar Express ride in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. It was nice and my kids had a blast. I expected it to be a little nicer though. These tickets are going on sale soon, so I figured I'd ask before I bought them for this year if anyone's been to another location and they LOVED it.
TIA and I'm sorry I had to bring up Xmas in July.

Does this one tell the story of Polar Express or Night Before Xmas? My son is obsessed with PE so I really want it to be that.

We do this one every year, too. They don't tell any story. Whatever elf is assigned to your train car sings carols and has the kids participate in some fun games. My kids love it. The elves bring out cookies & hot chocolate, Santa comes, takes a picture and gives a bell to every kid, Mrs. Claus comes out too. It's great! I don't think they announced the date yet for ticket sales.

we did the catskill mountain rail road last year - the boys loved it - they tell the story from the book, have chefs dressed and elves - my boys danced up a storm and loved the story time with the elves at the end that they got to create a store

Most likely to far. But the polar express out of North Conway NH was awesome. We went last year. They give you hot chocolate, candy, scarves, and the bell from the reindeer. There are people dressed up like chefs in the train. When you get to the "north pole" your greeted by elves. They read the polar express book and then Santa makes his appearance. The place goes wild hHahahhahah. Santa comes around and greets everyone. It really really fun.
