Potty training help!

Last Sunday I started the 3 day method with my almost 3 year old DD.
In about 4 days she was totally trained for #1 but # 2 has been kind of a disaster.

For the first few days she held it and for the last few she has been going in her underwear. We obviously know when she is going and run her to the bathroom but she cries or says she doesn't want to and stops.

Any tips for a mom that is totally over cleaning poop??

TIA!

My son was the same.

It took about a week or so longer for him to feel comfortable going #2 on the potty than it did for #1. He held it for the first 4 days and finally had to give him Miralax. Gave that to him for a few days, so it encouraged him to go, but didn't make it painful.

It was a ROUGH time, but it finally happened. After he realized it wasn't so scary, it went much smoother.

Re: Potty training help!

Going through the same here and need advice!! DD2 turned 3 in May and has been potty trained for #1 since about that time. She's even nap and bedtime trained. But she will NOT do #2 on the potty. No matter what-it's always in her underwear. For 2 months now!! I wish it was at least around the same time each day so I could be prepared.

No bribing, awards, talking about "big girl" things has worked. This weekend I told her she can go in her underwear BUT she has to do it in the bathroom. And she did. I at least want her in the right room. Then we'll progress from there hopefully.

I feel your pain.

Thanks, Ladies.
It's such a crazy process. And b/c she is doing so well with #1 I feel like I can start with the pull ups or anything.
We have been doing the miralax too.

Mine went just enough on the potty to get the reward she really wanted and now it's over. LOL

Potty training help!

I didn't do 3 day with my dd, I did rewards. And she got 4 candies for poop and that finally made her go.
Initially she held it for 2 days at a time.
Then she started pooping in her pants
THen when I rewarded the poop with extra candy she went just fine and we never looked back
