My inlaws are looking to move east- they are looking at a condo in yaphank- they are from western Suffolk so we really don't know much about the area. Anyone live there or have feedback ?

Um I am not sure I think it was on Thornton? I saw on the map it's off William Floyd parkway- north of expressway

I live pretty close yaphank & I have a few friends and a cousin that live there. Its a nice area. Very easy access to the LIE. Really nice, small historical section.

where it is located is a nice area. I can't speak for the actual condo community bc I dont know anyone that lives in there. But I sent you a pm

yaphank is in the middle of an industrial zone i think. lots of businesses and bigs trucks on the road. its near bellport, medford, shirley. it is very close to the beach though! there are not many restaurants around, so if they like to go out to eat they might hate it. but its also a close drive to outlet shopping in riverhead if they like that.

I have friends that live in Coonial Woods/Whispering Pines and it seems great. They have a really great pool area and a nice community feel. They aren't in the middle of retail but not far from anything. Access to the LIE is also really great.

Thank your for all the info- FIL will be retiring soon and they don't want to continue with house up keep FIL likes the beach so that's a plus and FIL his Health is declining so it's better for him to not have to worry about cutting grass etc. and good to know about the pool and community area- they watch my niece during the week! Thanks for this great feedback!!!

I think this is the one that they are building a huge development right next too it. It's called the boulevard. It's going to be condos, restaurants I think a hotel. Just something to consider too. I live close and love the area!
