Tipping question- daycare at gym
Hi! My gym offers free childcare but the paperwork they gave me said tipping is appreciated. I have no idea what amount is appropriate. Do I tip everyday? Once a week? At holidays? Help! Lol. Thanks!
Ps: I have 3 kids.
2.5 year old and 15 month old twins.

I did not tip when I used the gym daycare. Sometimes I would see people tip but very rarely. I would give gifts at the holidays to the regulars. But to tip every day seems kind of crazy. It would just be such a pain to carry the cash on me. And what about when there are two or three girls working?

I put $10 in the tip jar every few weeks. I never have cash, and it just adds up too much to tip every time. Some people tip every time. It's. Not as if the girls don't make a decent wage, I know for a fact they do. I do give gifts at the holidays.

I also have 3 kids- but I've only brought 2 so far. I leave them for an hour and leave $2-3 dollars. I don't bring them all the time though- only when my husband isn't home in the evening

I don't tip - I already pay extra on top of my membership fee for the child care.
I probably will do something small around the holidays

I don't tip every time but I try to tip more than half the time, at least. I give between $3-$5 in the tip jar. More at Christmas.

This tipping thing on LI is getting out of hand.
who else should we tip? is there any interaction we have with someone doing their job that doesn't deserve a tip?

I pay $10/month for the daycare at my gym. I never tip on top of that. But at Christmas I bring in cookies for all the girls to split.
