RV of Fifth Wheel Rental and Itinerary

Has anyone done this or have any recommendations for a 5-7 day trip from Long Island in one of these with two kids - 9 and 5 onboard?

TIA

we're actually doing this next week!! we live in NJ though. this will be our second time renting an RV through Cruise America.
2 years ago, DS was 2.5 and we took it to upstate NY (lake george lake placid to see the old olympic stuff), we also spent a couple nights in Vermont. we did the Ben And Jerry's ice cream factory, Magic Hat brewery, Vermont Teddy Bear factory... plus a few hikes and stuff.
this time, we're going out to ohio HAHA the columbus zoo, columbus speedway (DS is almost 5 now and obsessed with race cars!!), maybe the rock and roll hall of fame, the Air Force Museum in Dayton (again, Ds is obsessed with any kind of transportation! HAHA), and a couple state parks out there... we'll see how it all goes!! LOL
we really had a great time last time- its a nice way to travel with kids, because you always have everything you need right with you- snacks, entertainment, etc. And most of the campgrounds are so family-friendly now with kids activities, playgrounds, etc.
feel free to FM me with any other questions... i'll try to answer them Chat Icon

Thank you for replyingChat Icon sounds like fun!!

I am wondering if I should let the campgrounds dictate our trip or just work with whatever we get ie would love a day or two at a really fun campground with a great water park or something for the kids but not sure if there is any amazing campground in the NE I should be checking out?

Thanks

There is a new campground in Lake George Area....Moose Hillock....has a great pool for kids! Jellystone PA (Lancaster area) is amazing for kids.
