Which is better w/Poll (family vacation related)?

Outer Banks NC
Myrtle Beach SC

I have two young boys and we did myrtle beach last year and had a BLAST, I would go back again this August but curiosity is getting the best of me and I'd like to experience something else. possibly.

It would just be the 4 of us...I know a beach house in NC is cool when you have for big groups, etc. So please consider that when voting :)

Any pros/cons, Id love to hear your feedback!!

I don't know much about ocean city md - but to be honest I would skip North Carolina this year...I'm a worrywart and would be too nervous with all the recent shark attacks in the news.

We just got back from Ocean City, MD and had a great time. Our DD is 3 and we took her to Trimper's amusement park and she had a blast and we also went to some arcades on the boardwalk as well. The beach was good too, and we stayed at the Hilton which is right on the beach and had a kiddie pool as well. We would go back in a heart beat.. :)

love myrtle beach, we are going there in mid-august - honestly not overly concerned about the sharks, they are migrating north as the water in NC is getting too warm for them (or so I've heard)

I have been to all three, and prefer Outer Banks. That being said, with the creepy amount of shark bites in NC and SC this year, I would pick Ocean City MD!
