Is it possible my last period was actually a miscarriage?

I'm trying to figure this out because I've been feeling like crap lately, nauseous and tired, and I don't know why. I wasn't trying to conceive, but my last period a couple weeks ago was so so heavy. Sorry if this is tmi but I was soaking thru a super tampon every hour for a whole day. That never happens to me. Then a couple days after my period started I got what I thought was a stomach virus, but now I'm not sure because DH and DD never got sick, and I know stomach viruses tend to be very contagious. And also I'm still feeling queasy on and off and tired over two weeks later. I took a pregnancy test about a week ago because I've really been feeling a lot like I did when I was pregnant with Dd, but it came back negative. So is it at all possible that I had a chemical or early miscarriage without ever knowing I was pregnant, and would I still feel symptoms two weeks later? Or all just a big coincidence?

Is it possible, sure. But if that's the case, and you tested negative, anything you're feeling now would not be a symptom. You would have mc'ed before symptoms would have started. Sounds like a coincidence to me. That said, I'd be concerned about soaking through a super tampon once an hour fora whole day.... You should mention it to your OB.

I think it's possible, but I've read that it's very hard to tell the difference early on so most people assume it's a period. Last month I got my period 1 day early but it was very bad and painful---so painful that I actually passed out (for the first time in my life) in the bathroom. It was extremely heavy when that happened but by the next day, it was back to being very light, almost non-existent.
