SO here is the background.
I work from home and my work laptop is a Mac book. I also use it for personal use - husband's contractor billing inoices etc, uploading my personal pics etc etc...I keep getting a message stating "start up disk is full" I am guessing its because I have so much personal stuff on there that I do need to get it off and move it to another laptop that I will use for personal use.
Other than the macbook we also have two kindle fires in the house and by husband has some other tablet - not sure which one - the kids mainly use the kindle fires.
SO what would you get for personal use? I guess I am mostly concerned with the personal pics and videsos - is an IPAD good for this? Can it hold a lot? Any advice /recos?
TIA

they have a 128GB ipad now it can hold a lot of pics for sure.. but its like $800 or something. Not sure if its worth it for that.... you can buy an external harddrive if they arent pictures you need to get at a lot.

Re: IPAD Users
It really depends on your use case. If you are looking for a true laptop replacement an iPad is not that.
I think the biggest thing that holds an ipad back is the lack of a file system. If it had a file system you could effectively use it as a laptop with a touch screen.
If you're going to drop 800 bucks on an iPad you may want to consider spending a little more and just getting a macbook air 11 inch for 900 bucks.

You might want to look into on-line back up instead of a new computer. There is no need to store all of your pictures and videos on a laptop. What if it crashes? Look into onedrive.com
