Laundry question

Would you wash your older child's clothes with your newborns clothes or keep them apart?

My girls share a room and a hamper so their stuff has always been washed together.

Laundry question

Plan on doing separate. They each have their own hamper and it will be easier to sort.

Re: Laundry question

I always wash DS stuff separate, but just cause he has his own hamper in his room so every week I just toss in 1 load of his stuff and then i don't have to sort it, fold it and bring the basket back to his room and put it away. It just makes it easier for me! If I need something sooner, I will throw it in with ours, or throw something in with his.

Laundry question

I keep everyone's together. That would be way too much laundry to do separately.

Laundry question

I always wash together with "green" detergent (biokleen or ecover). The only things I separate are dog-related stuff, like towels after dog bath or dog bed covers.

Re: Laundry question

With my first, I always separated his clothes when he was a baby and didn't use dryer sheets. Now, I wash his clothes with ours, if there's room.

With my second, I wash hers alone or with my son's, and don't use dryer sheets. But I would wash her clothes with ours - I just prefer dryer sheets in DH and my laundry so things aren't static-y.

Re: Laundry question

This is how we've always done laundry. The only thing that gets mixed are the whites.

Re: Laundry question

I wash my 3 girls and myself together. My husbands laundry is done separately. I sort it right out of the dryer and then fold it. If I had to wait for full loads of each person, it would take a week and I like to do laundry each night.

I watch them together just because it's easier--they share a hamper and dresser.
