Night Terrors at 3 months???

I dont remember my son having them so early but my DD is waking every 3 hours the last 3 days screaming in pain but she's still asleep. she's been sleeping 11-12 hours so this is torture for me! is this night terrors or can it be something else?

Night Terrors at 3 months???

Sounds to me like teething. DS was doing the same thing for a few nights as he was cutting his tooth.

Yup. He's been cutting teeth like crazy lately and would cry out in his sleep and look like he was in pain. it would wake me up in the middle of the night. but during the day he's a happy drooly little clam.

Night Terrors at 3 months???

LOL. You're lucky she's sleeping so much at 3 months that every 3 hours is noticeable. It didn't last long for us... either that, or I'm just so used to it I sleep through it now, hahaha. It seems to only be the nights that he's in really bad pain now. He has 2 bottom teeth cutting at the same time, I think this started about a month or so before he started cutting, maybe 2 months ? .

Re: Night Terrors at 3 months???

My dd has night terrors sometimes

I think the fact she is still asleep makes me think night terrors bc that's what she does

Screams in her sleep or looks awake and scared but not actually awake

Hope she feels better

Ugh, I can't even think that this is what's going on, I have to believe it's the teething and he's in pain and not scared.

My DD went through this too. It started around 7 months and stopped around 11 months. It wasn't often but when it would happen you feel helpless. I would cry.

Re: Night Terrors at 3 months???

im back to not being sure what this is.

last night she literally woke up every hour from 11pm-5am. she'd scream for 1-2 minutes (still asleep) and then just go right back to sleep. at 5am i gave her a gas drop and she went back to sleep until 8:30.

so maybe gas? night terrors?? needless to say i'm exhausted today.

the poor thing's been napping in her swing since 11...i can't bring myself to wake her. she must be exhausted.

my dd had this at that age and my doctor called them "stolen milk dreams" - his own funny way of describing it. It is just them at the very begining of "dreams" - more so almost reliving the daily things that happen in the day.
