What is going on?

I have now heard of the THIRD person who is having the SAME EXACT ISSUE AS MY GRANDMA. The first was grandma, admitted for something else, they found the tear in her colon, had 3 surgeries, recovered (miraculously) was released home and died 5 days later. The second was our good friend's father, never made it out of the ICU. Now my best friend of 10+ years her father is in the ICU going on his 4th surgery in 1 week (first had his gallbladder removed last week, they knew he had a blockage in his bowels but didn't know what from, still released him, then 1 day later was back in the hospital and has had 3 other surgeries since then). He is in the ICU, he wasn't a well man to start with, so I don't have much hope. What is going on? In over 10 years in healthcare I had never heard of such a thing and now 3 cases in 6 months! This is insane.

Coincidences are a funny thing. I am attending a memorial/funeral mass tomorrow morning at the same church where my friend is getting married in later in the afternoon.

It will be very freaky to mourn the passing of a friend at 10am, and run home to get dolled up for a 3pm wedding in the same place. Not sure what to tell ya..
