pediatricin recs anywhere between Babylon and bayport?
Our pediatrician is currently in smithtown. I used to love them but I'm not really happy with them anymore. The only thing they have going for them right now is they are also an immediate care place and have late hours. We will be moving to the bayport/sayville area in the next couple of years and currently live in lindenhurst. I'd like a place that has later hours and weekend hours for sick and well visits. TIA!

West Islip Pediatrics. They have been amazing, just recently switched after another doctor refused to acknowledge my daughters allergy, which according to several specialist is severe. I drive from Sayville and it's well worth it for quality care. Not sure about late hours, but they are open 7 days.

We use them too. I've always gotten in same day for sick visits. Some drs work later than others. Not sure how late. Latest I've gone was around 5:30. They also have walk ins in the am.

Thank you ladies. I travel from lindenhurst to smithtown right now so I don't mind traveling for a good pediatrician. I will look into these docs.

So, when I do switch peds, what do we have to do? Get our medical records from our current dr and that's it? The kids go to summer camp in a couple of weeks so I am going to call whoever we decide to go with them to hopefully make the switch before the school year starts again in September.

You basically just need to get your records sent over. Call whomever you choose and they will let you know what to do.
