Lamar Odoms best friend dies of OD
I remember him from Khloes spin off show. So sad. This will def make Lamar spiral again....
On Sunday, June 14, Jamie Sangouthai, a close friend of Lamar Odom passed away from a drug overdose, a source confirms to Us Weekly.
"Lamar is beside himself. This is the worst tragedy," the source told Us.
"This is so sad," another source added to Us. "They were best friends, like brothers. Lamar is going to take this really hard."
Soon after the news of Sangouthai's passing, Khloe Kardashian -- the ex-wife of Lamar Odom -- took the Twitter, tweeting a broken heart emoji, and writing, "When does it stop? RIP Jamie Sangouthai."
Her best friend Malika Haqq posted a group photo with Odom, Kardashian and Sangouthai via Instagram, writing, "Thru good and bad times life shows us every spirit matters and leaves a print on the hearts of others after they have passed... RIP Jamie Sangouthai #GodHelpUsAll."
Later that evening, Kardashian shared her feelings via an Instagram post showing an illustrated picture of a woman crying. "Life doesn't get easier but I promise you that life will make you stronger," she wrote, poignantly.

I remember him from the show, so very sad to have someone so young taken by drugs. Hopefully this can be a wake up call to Lamar and he will get the help he needs.

Jamie Sangouthai – Lamar Odom’s best friend – did not die from a drug overdose as initially suspected, but his death was drug-related.
Following an initial report from TMZ, the LA County Coroner’s office confirmed to Page Six that Sangouthai, 37, died Sunday from a rare flesh-eating disease caused by injections from dirty needles.
According to the Coroner, the exact term for this type of bacterial skin infection is “necrotizing fasciitis,” which was caused by chronic intravenous drug use.
The New York native – whose struggle with drugs was featured on E! spinoff “Khloe and Lamar” — went to the hospital for his infected arm, but this type of infection spreads rapidly and often becomes life threatening in a very short amount of time.
