Gift for speech therapist

Ds has a speech therapist that comes to the house 2x a week. Since the school year is coming to an end he will not be getting speech over the summer. Should we get her a gift? If so, is a $15 gift card ok or would you do something else?

I always feel so confused with all this gift giving to people who are getting paid for doing their job.

but you asked, I think anything from $5 to $10 is fine with a nice card.
Better IMO is a nice thank you card, and home baked cookies or something your DS makes for her, or perhaps a small picture frame

I really do believe nothing beats a card or picture from your little man :), if anything.

I am a speech therapist :). A gift card is cool. I used to get dunkin gift cards all the time from my parents at my old job. But a nice thank you card is always appreciated too. The thing with the gift is just knowing that I was appreciated.

We gave a 20 Gc to target and a handwritten note. I really wrote from the heart and tried to let her know just how amazing she is and what an enormous impact she has had on dd. She said that my note was exactly what she needed to hear at that moment because she had had a string of bad things, and it meant the world to her. So I would say it is not so much about the amount of the Gc, just write something from the heart.

I'm planning on a GC from Target for DS's speech therapist. She is amazing.

DS's therapist is beyond wonderful and we always get her a gift at end of the year and for holidays. We usually go to the local spa and get her a generous gift card. She lives locally and I know she likes it there. Either that or a GC to the outlets!

as I read the posts about all the amazing people doing their jobs. IMO GC takes less thought and is not from the heart especially if someone is so amazing.

Kind words about how that person is important is more uplifting as bunny kisses wrote. You didn't know something was going on in her life but look at how the card helped. That is Amazing!!

I think that is fine. We ended sessions with one of DS' therapists because he wasn't going to do home based services anymore and we gave her a gc to Dunkin Donuts as well.
