I haven't been there in 8 years. Been there twice. Stayed at Mandalay Bay and Bellagio. Looking for something else. My parent want to go with me and DH to celebrate milestone bday. I don't know anything about newer hotels. Any recommendations from those who have been here recently?

I have always stayed at the Palms but that's because I prefer a place we can all hang out while on vacation too that's huge and has all the amenities. It is off strip but only by a few minutes.

Re: Vegas hotels
I loved the Venetian. Or the Pallazio which is connected
I liked that it was on the end of the strip- not mid strip- quieter but still walkable to everything on the strip

The Cromwell - very different, funky decor. Loved it!
ETA: Ate at Giada, too - did the tasting menu. It was $$$ but very good

I like the location of Planet Hollywood, Cosmo, Aria, Bellagio the best. I have not stayed at anyone of them - I stayed a a timeshare connected to Cosmo when I went 2 years ago. The biggest pro to a timeshare - a full kitchen and a Living Room.
I stayed one night at Mirage. The room and bathroom were gorgeous but it's kind of too far up the strip for my taste.
I did LOTS of research on Trip Advisor before I went and Cosmo Corner Balcony Rooms came up the most.
Are you rewards members to anyplace? Do you go to AC and use Harrahs/Cesears rewards? That may help with your pricing to get a better room at certain hotels.

Re: Vegas hotels
I have stayed at Paris - loved especially with a perfect view every night of the belaggio water show. Also stayed at mirage and the mgm grand. Paris was the best location. Mirage was good. Mgm grand was nice but a little too far south. also stayed at excalibur which was disgusting and felt like a cheap hotel in every sense of the way.
