Child Support Question

The ex has offered to take the kids for the summer.

I know his next point will be that he doesn't have to pay me child support for July and August.

Then, I am expecting him to ask ME for the payments.

Because the divorce is final and none of this is in writing. Should I accept no payments for July & August?

Any advice before I talk to him about all this would be great!

thanks!

Re: Child Support Question

My daughter and her ex agreed that when he has the kids for the summer her child support is reduced by about 75%. I forgot the exact number. So she still receives something.

She does not send him anything. Nor should she since he's keeping most of the child support at that time.

Child Support Question

Child support is technically due to the parent that has sole residential custody.
Because they reside with you 10 months out of the year that would be you. I would however just to play nice and since there's nothing set in stone as far as agreements with you two not accept July and August.
I would laugh at him though if he asked for you to pay him.
Child support is not just to pay for kids to have fun, it's what helps for you to keep a roof over their head, lights on, hot water, etc.

Exactly. He will be spending more on food and utilities you will be spending less. Try to calculate that out and have him pay you that much less.
