Girls weekend between Buffalo and Long Island
Any ideas for a good middle-point between Buffalo and Long Island?
We would both be driving.
Looking for a mix of a little sight-seeing and a little relaxation (including good food and drink)...

Maybe the Hudson Valley wine trail? I did a girl's weekend there and had fun.

I went to a bach party in Saratoga. We had a great time. There's spas, racetrack, wineries, shopping, bars, restaurants.

The Finger Lakes region would be good. We stayed along Seneca Lake last summer. There are a lot of wineries to visit. We rented a house but there are hotels/motels in the area. One member of our group came from Buffalo, we were from Long Island and we also had family come from DC. It wasn't a bad drive for anyone.

SkyTop Lodge in the Poconos
Whiteface Lodge & Resort in lake Placid
Warwick/Washingtonville/Newburgh - the Hudson valley wine trail. This is so fun and lots to do.
Would the Jersey shore be too far? There a some very nice towns where you could rent a house for the weekend or a hotel room with LOTS to do!
Crystal Spring Spa & Resort in Vernon NJ (on the Warwick NY border) is very nice and lots of fun for a girls weekend.
My SIL is doing her bach party up in the Lake George area. They're renting a house in Lake Luzerne for the weekend, tubing/lazy river on the Hudson one afternoon (seriously AMAZINGLY fun...bring your own drinks and rent a floating cooler), Saratoga one night for a night on the town, Saratoga Performing Arts Center one day for a country concert, and one day just hanging out on the lake.
