where to get snorkel gear
DH and I want to buy our own snorkel gear instead of renting when we head to the USVI. We go every year so it makes more sense.
Where on LI can we buy it. Nassau or western Suffolk.
Thanks !

Good idea. We've had our own for years, only had to throw out the tubes after that bi tch sandy came to town. We bought new tubes at swim and scuba long island, 490 sunrise in rvc
Enjoy usvi! We honeymooned there. Great snorkeling at Sapphire Beach

Sports stores.
Also, Costco sometimes has full sets, I think that is where we got ours (flippers, mask, tube, and a carrying bag)

Duh, I didn't even think of the sporting goods stores.
I'll check out West Marine too, thinking about getting a dry gear bag for when we are boating.
Thank you !

I always pass a scuba store on old country road in westbury...right near Roosevelt field mall. You could try there.

We brought our own and the fins took up too much space in our luggage. Now they take up too much space in our closet. I would get mini fins or just bring a mask and snorkel. Might want to go to a scuba place to get a good fitting mask. I didn't feel like we needed fins and to tote them was annoying.
