Santa Margarita yay or nay
Just had a glass with DH. We were kinda like really ? Not worth the price. It was a gift but if I'm not mistaken it's around $18 a bottle. Much rather my $8.99 Ecco domani.

Eh it's Pinot Grigio. How good is it really going to be? It's not really a complex wine so I wouldn't be spending a lot on it regardless

True dat! But it's really not that better than a $11 big bottle of Cavit

It's good, but I don't pay $22 ish a bottle. I am happy with my organic Pinot Grigio for $12.

Re: Santa Margarita yay or nay
I like it -- it's definitely a better pinot grigiot, which as others have said, can be quite bland and watery when they are not that good.
But I don't buy bottles of it to drink at home. If I get it as a hostess gift, as I occasionally do, or order it out, I enjoy it. But I'd rather stick with an inexpensive wine for casual at home drinking, or try something new if I am splurging. I feel this way about Conundrum white wine, too.... I enjoy it out or as a gift, but don't often buy it for home.
Lately, I am much more about the unoaked chardonnay, or Sauvignon Blanc (love Nobilo), or even a good rose for summer... I tasted this sparkling rose called Notorious Pink at the Cradle of Aviation Taste of Flight event and I NEED to find it (I think it may only be at Stew Leonard's wine stores).

All this. I am not a fan of heavy, oaky, chards, but a nice unoaked Chard is a much better choice than a pinot grigio. I also love Sauvingon Blanc for summer. And I just got into Rose as well- I always turned my nose up at Rose, thinking it was like white zinfindel or something, but omg, it is SO not! Delicious!
