strawberry picking
What time of year is best for this and can you recommend a place not too far out East? Western Suffolk would be great. TIA!

Re: strawberry picking
Now. The next few weeks into July are prime! Peak! Perfection! LOL :)
Hmm --- well, I know that Benner's has a Strawberry Festival coming up. They are in Setauket. Check out their website for more info but I'm just not positive that they actually have people go INTO the field and physically PICK them. So, give a call and ask. But they have allllll sorts of activities that they do. It's supposed to be a big hit.

I would say now. Out strawberries are making strawberries every day, can't keep up with picking them before the critters get to them.
