South Beach romantic getaway??

I'm going away the 1st week of July to Miami with my SO and we're gonna visit my brother who lives in Coral Gables. SO and I want to take a night or 2 for ourselves and stay at a nice hotel. I've looked into the Delano, Loews, and the Mandarin. I heard the Mandarin there isn't a beach nearby. Any recommendations?

or if you don't mind going outside of South Beach a bit the Ritz in Key Biscayne is BEYOND amazing.

the Fontainebleau is a great hotel, with the beach and pool right there, its also on Collins and an easy cab or uber ride to south beach, and ocean drive

The Mondrian Hotel has no beach, but a nice pool deck, and its in Miami Beach.

The Mandarin Oriental does is pretty far away from the beach as well as it is on Brickell Key and not in Miami Beach.

Just came back from there last week.
Has the BEST location. Close to everything. Walking distance 1 block to Ocean and 1 block to Lincoln. The service was excellent. I was really impressed with everyone who worked there. Pool service, beach service, etc. I didn't eat at their restaurant (Catch), but it's the same as the fantastic Catch in NYC. Rooms were great - luxurious and new. Great balcony room with ocean views.

The beach is right outside the gate (it's on the boardwalk with a keyed entry).

I was literally JUST raving about it. I can't wait to go back.
