Disney Cruise - Dining Question
Do you sit with other families or do you have a table with just your party?
Thanks!

Disney Cruise - Dining Question
You sit with others. I called to request seating alone (my son has special needs) and it was granted. For our upcoming cruise, I just did the same. You find out if it's granted when you get on the ship.

Disney Cruise - Dining Question
yeah- i think they sit you with other people. we are 3 (me, DH, and DS)... and they sat us with another family of 5, to fill up a table of 8. it definitely was a little bit awkward for me- i'm not the type to make small talk with other people. and DS is 4, so still doesn't have a lot of patience for the long meals... so it was tough trying to keep him even more calm/quiet so we didn't bug the other family (although they had a little boy with them around the same age). it was a 4 night cruise, and they only sat with us for 2 nights... so i think maybe they did the buffet the other nights, or had reservations for the pay restaurants. OR they could sense my uncomfortable-ness and asked to be moved or something. LOL i think there were some smaller tables- so i guess it depends on how early you book too.... (We booked it like 2 weeks before we left, and wanted the earlier dinner seating time bc of DS. so i think they stuck us whereever they could so we could have the earlier dinner time)

It really has nothing to do with when you book, I booked 3 weeks out last cruise and they can break the tables apart to make them smaller for smaller parties. I don't really get the whole seating thing to be honest. I think it's an efficiency thing that makes it easier for them? Plus the fact that you have to wait for the rest of the party to get done eating each course to get the next or to order dessert. But it's easy to request dining alone.
