Please recommend you Oxybenzone-free sunscreen.
I just read an article about the dangers of false SPF claims, Oxybenzone, and other neuro problematic ingredients.
Can anyone please recommend their natural sunblock? I'm nauseous at the fact that I've been poisoning my kids for years...

I use Ava Anderson, Honest and Babyganics sunscreen stick (ONLY the stick- the other products have ingredients I will not use). The Environmental working group rates many sunscreens based on the saftey of the ingredients- they have a good website:

I use regular sunscreen on their face & feet... Coppertone free & simple. I've been using it myself forever!
We use regular shade as our first line of protection.
We use swim shirts when in sun for a long time. This decreases your dose of whatever is bad in sunscreen (all things that work, IMO, have side effects).

Coppertone Water Babies Pure and Simple does not have it.

But it HAS to say pure and simple on the label.
Their regular one has some bad ingredients and the bottle looks identical except for the words PURE AND SIMPLE
This one has zinc in it as well which is good

Watching my fair skinned dad get all kinds of skin Cancer lopped off, we really do all we can to prevent burns.

My ped recommended something with only zinc for the baby so I got thinkbaby off amazon. Definitely check the ewg list.

What i LOVE about it is that it goes on kind of white, from the zinc, so you can see where you are applying it and if you are missing spots. But then it rubs in clear so you don't look like a ghost on the beach! LOL

Please recommend you Oxybenzone-free sunscreen.
Thinksport and Thinkbaby... Purely mineral sunscreen but it's actually smooth, easy to spread, and non greasy. Check out ewg's rating and amazon reviews. I finally found one I love after trying a bunch of the other natural brands (Badger, California baby, etc.).

My boys have very sensitive skin. The only sunscreen we can use on them is Blue Lizard. It's a zinc based one.

I was also told by my ped that avobenzone isthe same thing too. So look for that too. We use blue lizard or actually banana boat doesn't have either.

I like Thinkbaby,think sport, Badger, and the Honest company's sunscreen.
I have had 3 melanomas, and a basal cell carcinoma. I pay lots of attention to sunscreen for me and my kids.
Two things my dermatologist told me: anything with a super high spf on the label (like 50 plus) is likely to have toxic ingredients. Plus, they don't protect you any better, they just cost more and make false claims.
Also- your best bet is rashguards, hats, seeking shade. Many sunscreens lost their potency due to sweating, swimming, rubbed off by sand or towel, etc.
