For a 6 year old and 1 year old - to Disney

One double. It is a pain to find your stroller in the stroller parking, never mind two. With one stroller, one parent has their hands free on the bus to wrangle the kids or carry them. More space to store things like drinks. This way you are not pushing a stroller for the older one who will want to walk most of the time, but it will always be convenient if the older one wants to hop in. It was much easier on crowded buses for me to hold onto the kids and DH to hold the bag and stroller.

This exactly. We took the double and it's so much easier. Either I pushed or DH and the other would have their hands free. There were times DH ran ahead to get tix or see lines, etc. Easier to do without pushing a stroller. Plus when older child walked they had an adult hand to carry if you're pushing a stroller it's a pain to hold a hand and push. I also think bulky is safer in crowds. Think about it at night when it gets crowded those flimsy single strollers may get pushed more instead of a heavy bulky stroller. People are more aware of it and you stay together in a crowd rather than possibly separating. We loved it for DW. Held up great and since its sturdy we got the heavy hooks to hold bags on. The single umbrella would fall over the moment your LO gets up.
Like PP said DH would be in charge of folding the stroller and holding it while I took the kids when going on the train.

I had a 6 yo and 1 yo at Disney at well and we just took one lightweight stroller. The 6yo is old enough to walk for the majority of the time. If he gets tired, we take break on a bench or go to a show so he can rest.

The alternative is see if you can bring a buggyboard or carrier for the baby and stash them under the stroller basket so if the 6yo is tired, just use one of 'em.

I would do the double. Yes, it's annoying on the bus but I'd imagine it would be easier the rest of the time. If you bring two lightweights, you're both going to have to be pushing one of them at all times. I think that would drive me nuts to never have my hands free.

Also, I don't know what your lightweight strollers are like but I think the city mini is pretty comfortable for naps. We brought ours and it was great at Disney.

Double. It left one of us open to do something/run to the bathroom/etc. while the other had the kids.

Double. We just got back. Yes, they are bulky for the bus, but honestly so many other people will have doubles too that you won't be in anyone's way.
