Anyone have any thoughts on how its going to end?


Will Betty actually die on the show, or will it be implied that its going to happen?

What in the world is Don doing?

I hope we haven't seen the last of Joan!

I would like to think Pete and his wife can reconcile and he'll move away for the new job, but the way it was filmed just made me think they were setting it up for some tragedy to happen to them

What will happen to Peggy? Roger?

I'm so sad for the show to end, but excited to see the finale. i hope they make it longer than an hour!

According to my dvr, it's only an extra 15 mins. Not sure how they're going to wrap it all up!

I keep thinking don is going to die. He was eyeing that window 2 episodes ago and the opening credits do show a man falling from the building. Or they could just be messing with us!

I've been reading on these fan sites that Don Draper is actually DB Cooper and that maybe it'll end with him being someone new again (DB Cooper), and flying a plane and jumping out....

When he looked up at the Empire State Building during the meeting (that he walked out of), he stared at a plane flying overhead. And then left the meeting.
DB Cooper flew out of Portland (or Seattle maybe?) in 1971. Don's travelling west and the timingb is close (I think it might be 1970 or 1971)?

ETA: and draper takes on the new name Db cooper to pay tribute to Bert Cooper

I find this theory fascinating!!!

I don't know , I can't see Don, moving back to NY & settling down his kids. He has $,so may he takes the kids somewhere new?
I feel like the "Don Draper, ad exec" life is over. Not his literal life.

The plane thing, I think was a call back to when Dream Rachel said '"I'm supposed to tell you your flight is delayed."
The plane/flight was just a symbol of his next journey.

I do wonder about him giving the car to the kid at the end. Does that symbolize him getting rid of the last part of his "Don Draper, ad exec" life, or does it symbolize him giving up on his road trip & the end of his running away. Does it mean he is just going to fly back home? Or to California?

My gut instinct is that Don is going home, as ****. He is going to accept his identity. I hope they flash forward in the finale, and he is with/raising his kids. I think things will work out for Pete. He seeeeeeeems to have changed, when ultimately no one ever does on this show.
I hope that last image of Peggy walking into McCann is not the last we will see of her. I want to know what happens, does she settle down, do they accept her in the office as a woman? There is so much more to her story.
Poor Betty -- she was finally getting into something for herself, and not because of what someone else wanted. It is easy to hate her, especially with how she treated Sally -- but it is pretty incredible how fast she came to terms with her death. Her letter to Sally being 90% about how she will be buried, how she will look, etc is soooo Betty, but i was glad she threw in the line about knowing Sally will be OK -- and that she loves her.
I felt terrible for her husband in the scene where he breaks down. You dont see it often but he loved Betty and that is the love she always wanted from Don.
