what do 3 year old girls like added a ??
my cousins daughter is turning 3 this month and they live out of state. I usually just send a card to all her kids (2 boys) as I really don't know them. They know me by name, picture etc.
Back story she was born a few weeks before I was diagnosed with cancer, and while depressed I dragged myself out to buy her a gift to mail. It gave me something to do.
I cant for the life of remember, off the top of my head remember when the boys were born but for the fact I write it on the calendar, but I cant forget her B-day.
A very tiny gift, suggestions ?
TY everyone, I love all the ideas. Her brothers are 4 and 7, do you think they will notice I sent her something and not them?
Is it mean? I don't want to start something where feelings are hurt (kids ) nor do I want to have to send to all every year since I don't know them. Should I just forget it??
added: I know some pp think I should forget sending anything. When she was born I bought her a dress with ladybugs on it. Her mom took pictures of her wearing the dress and sent it to me (she loves ladybugs). In the card store I saw a tiny pack of ladybug stickers.
should I send that in the card?
how can I incorporate the stickers? if not sending them to her what about placing them on the envelope?

Disney Magic clip dolls, a play doh set, figurines for shows that she likes ie: peppa pig, doc mcstuffins. Good luck

You can get figurines from anywhere... Disney store to target.

You could just look for a card with something special. Dd loves the ones with coloring or sticker activities built in.

anything princess is good. lego duplo has some cute smaller princess sets that you could always just order and ship from amazon. A card with coloring activity is also a really good suggestion.

My DD loves dress up clothes, though I know not all little girls are into that. Art stuff is probably the safest bet. DD loves those sticker books where you complete the princess or animal by adding stickers of their eyes, nose, accessories, etc. Paints, sand art, those purses they can color. There are a lot of options in the arts & crafts aisles that any 3 yr old girl would love. :)

I'd send her something (seems like you want to, and that this is important to you), and also include something small the boys may like, or something all 3 can do together, like beach toys, coloring/crafts sets, play-doh set, etc. This way, it's inspired by her, bit for all 3.

Maybe just send a card and send her mom a note sharing your memory and why her daughter's birthday is special to you. I think it will mean more to her than sending a gift when the kids won't understand why one is getting a gift and the others aren't.

I send them all a card every year, parents too. I never miss a Birthday and the older ones send me a thank you note, and mom sends me a new picture each year.
I am caught bc I don't want the boys to feel left out. I was looking at toys they can share like a fun sprinkler.

part of me feels like it sounds odd why I remember her birthday. paralleling my cancer to her birth sounds morbid. I wouldn't even know how to word it.
I remember thinking. I was given a crappy diagnosis which felt like death and the end for me, while a new life just entered the world and how life goes on...blah blah

DD loves My Little Pony, Barbie, Pink. She isn't into too many other shows. She also loves crafts, so washable markers, paint, beads and string for necklaces/bracelets, coloring books are always great gifts. Bubbles are always a hit, and anything outdoorsy is great (butterfly net, bug house, bubble wands, sidewalk chalk or paint)
ETA: Didn't read your whole post. I think just sending the ladybug stickers with a card is great! My 3yo would love that. She is currently infatuated with ladybugs. Very nice and thoughtful of you, but you won't have to worry about the older boys getting upset
