we do have my cousins wife's sister that may be willing to meet us there...i wont know until later this week...im just debating if its even worth it if we have to leave for an hour regardless to transport the kids.
One hour at best. For me, it's not worth it. Especially to leave them with someone they've never met. A grandparent maybe. But not a stranger.

We had a wedding at disney in 2013. The bride said we could use a disney sitter for after the wedding. No. I left with the girls and Dh stayed (he was a groomsman). If the bride had a problem with me leaving, I never heard about it. But I'm not leaving my girls with some stranger
I would leave with the kids and let dh stay.

No way would I ever trust a stranger to watch my kids, especially in a hotel 30 min from where I would be. Absolutely not. The only thing I would think might work is if you have someone that you know and trust who would be willing to travel with you and stay over in the extra hotel room. But IMO that's a lot to ask of someone just so you and your dh can stay at the wedding for a couple extra hours. If I was you, I would just bring my kids to the wedding, enjoy it for as long as you can, and leave early when they get tired. Or maybe you'll luck out and they'll sleep at the reception.

I wouldn't trust a sitter I don't know. We took our little ones to an out of state wedding (they were welcome at the reception). The baby slept in her stroller most of the time. Our toddler danced all night and outlasted her Dad. I would bring them and if necessary one of you leave early.

I'm pretty laid back with this stuff, I don't get uptight using new sitters, etc., but in this situation, being away from home, 30 minutes away from the hotel and with a stranger...I wouldn't be able to enjoy myself. No way.
I didn't read all the responses but can you use another room at the hall to have someone watch your kids there? Does the couple know a teenager in the area that could come to the hall and watch your kids there? If not, I would try to get them to take naps in the late afternoon and then keep them as late as possible at the wedding.

Honestly, I would see if someone could keep your kids for the weekend and just attend with your DH and no kids.
