I'm sitting here daydreaming about planning a romantic getaway with DH.

LOL! I didn't see this until just now.

I did go and I had a ball...

First, we stayed at The Cliffside Inn

I highly recommend the Carriage House Room.

I also love the Tower Suite but it was not available for the nights we went.

The soaking tub more than large enough for two people was the best thing EVER. It had jets and bubbles and lights and we were in there for hours -- we were like prunes but it was so relaxing and so romantic.

The window seat was beautiful, overlooking the grounds and ocean beyond, the fireplace was divine, we would put it on at night and listen to music.

The breakfast daily was delicious, the innkeepers were lovely, and we made friends with other people staying there -- we ended up hanging out with them and having a lot of fun.

We ate at Stoneacre Pantry -- a farm to table place -- that was highly rec by the innkeepers. IT WAS AMAZING. DIVINE. The freshest, most delicious, healthy but so tasty food I have ever had. It was unreal.

The other place was recommended from tripadvisor -- Bouchard. The French place. It was decadent and delicious. They had a standard white poodle walking around the restaurant -- it was SO FRENCH. I absolutely loved it. The most amazing martinis too. And the souflee dessert was out of control. I had escargot and I can't say enough good things about that place and the service was on another level.

We toured the mansions -- that was beautiful, we did the cliff walk. I MUST go back in the summer when it's just pristine weather because the whole place is so beautiful.

Another thing we did was take the long scenic drive. We went for lunch each day to a different place that had lobster rolls just to be able to try different lobster rolls -- one was better than the last! It was just great.

Very romantic. Can't wait to go back. Very easy to get to. And the ferry made all the difference.

You will love it. The vineyards are awesome too. I could stay a week and still not see everything, honestly.

I hate to be TMI but all we did was ONE thing lol... So it shouldn't be that difficult to twist his arm!! LOL!

Well no WONDER you said you could stay a week and not see everything! Makes sense when your in your hotel room all day!
