specifically wondering about -the move it/shake it/dance it street party -the dream with mickey show
other questions about the parades/shows:
-is the festival of fantasy parade scary for a 3 year old?
-is the celebrate the magic show part of the wishes nighttime spectacular or different/separate?

Re: more MK disney questions - parades
Move it shake it, is a small thing, not a true parade. Cute if you are there for it, but does not replace the 3 pm in r nighttime parade. The parades are not scary. My kids since babies love them. The two parades are a must if you can work them in, esp the nighttime parade.
We only see the castle shows if we are walking by, we don't go out of our way to see them. The girls watched for a minute or two then moved on.
I believe that is the projection show. After the parade, there was a projection show on the castle. My kids loved it. It is right before the fireworks show. You would want to do the parade, see the projection show, then the fireworks. Our past trip we did the FP+ for the parade, then stayed there for the projection and fireworks.

I don't understand Fast Passing the Parade... does that mean you get like a front row spot reserved for you? ETA: I also don't see fast pass available for anything but the 3:00 fantasy parade.

Re: more MK disney questions - parades
We didn't use a FP for the parades and we had no problem getting within good view of all of them. The Festival of Fantasy Parade is REALLY great!!!..................my kids (6 and 2) LOVED it and saw it twice on our trip. The nighttime projection show on the castle is really VERY cool, try not to miss that.
ETA - The Move It/Shake It "parade" is nothing special. We didn't really stop to watch it, we just caught bits and pieces while hanging out on Main Street.

Re: more MK disney questions - parades
The Festival of Fantasy parade is awesome!! LOVE the fire breathing dragon. People line up on the curb an hour or two early to view the parade, so just make sure you are there if you want a front row spot. This last trip over Spring Break we just sat/stood in the new green space areas (gorgeous and empty BTW...and an awesome picture taking spot with the castle in the background!) and watched the floats go by. We couldn't really see characters that were just walking since there were 5 rows of people at the curb, but we were okay with that.
Dream with Mickey show is cute, they have had that for years, wish they would change it up!
Definitely see the electrical parade, so neat!
Move it Shake it...eh....one time is enough, don't plan your day around it

To me, the electrical light parade is a MUST. I even plan when I go to be sure to make it!

I wasn't going to FP the parade but we were doing one late afternoon/evening so we didn't miss out on other FPs.
Yes they had an area in front of the castle reserved so you get front row. While everyone in that area was lined up an hour before you can go shortly before, and get a great spot. People kept walking by and trying to sneak under the rope to get in, saying it was a great spot. If you are willing to give up a FP for it, then go for it. Nice not have to waste a lot of time waiting.
This was the nighttime parade btw. We then stayed put for the castle projection and fireworks. I don't think parade FP come out until closer to 45-30 days prior
