Feeding every 3 hours?
The NICU informed us when we left, we should feed DD every 3 hours regardless (which means waking her if she's sleeping). She was also taking only 1.5 oz of formula when we took her home.
Since she's been home...we've increased the amount of formula to 2.5 oz over time...because she never seemed satisfied. We are still feeding her every 3 hours.
At what point, do we let her tell us when she is hungry again and stop waking her to eat? She will be 4 weeks on Wednesday.

This is really a question for your pediatrician. If your daughter was in the NICU there would be different rules depending on weight gain.

I agree. I think with any baby it's when they reach a certain weight.

I agree. Dd was jaundice so we were also told to wake her every 2-3 hours- at 2 weeks old he said we could let her go 5.
Definitely ask your ped.
