My DH and I are going to Aruba next week for the first time and I am just looking for opinions on what is a must see/do while there? I haven't don't much research on it as it is a trip he won through work and it is all inclusive so I'm not sure if we will be eating out at too many other places because all of our food is included. But we like to go and explore a little bit so if you have any suggestions it would be much appreciated! We are staying at the Hyatt and I am 8 months pregnant so I won't be able to do anything too crazy lol.

Re: Aruba

At 8 months pregnant I'd only be interested in lying on a beach. Chat Icon Chat Icon I've been to Aruba a few times and each time we've been there we haven't done much besides beach/pool. The first time we went we did rent a car for a day or two and explored the island. I believe we went to the lighthouse and then into Oranjestad. But aside from that, we generally spend all our time at the beach and then figuring out which restaurant to go to. Aruba has so many fantastic restaurants.

Re: Aruba

At 8 months pregnant I would mostly just lay on the beach or at the pool. That is enough for me. There are many great restaurants but if yours in all inclusive I wouldn't even bother plus the hotel you are at has some good ones. All of the great stuff I would recommend to do in Aruba you can't really do 8 months pregnant. Like some of the water sports/boating-snorkeling trips/jeep or atv riding in the desert/hiking through the state park/etc. Just relax. There are some great spas you can go to if you want a foot massage or a manicure or something. You can walk around the main shopping district if you are into that.

Re: Aruba

ITA with the other posters that there's not much you can do at 8 months pregnant. Lay on the beach, relax, read, walk around shopping (lots of great stores), etc. If you want to rent a car for a day. You don't need it longer than that.
I go to Aruba every year and we mostly sit on the beach. Weather is perfect. Enjoy and relax.
