My friend suggested we all go for a cruise, and get connecting cabins. I'm all for it, but she wanted and planned out rooms without a verandah but an ocean view through a large window. I guess she was trying to stay within a budget and keep all of us together. Does it get stuffy, and is there enough light? And I guess since it is early enough, she gave us a couple of deck options. Any suggestions.. TIA

I have done 3 Disney cruises but have had a balcony room every time. I personally would stay in whatever category you want to stay in and not get connecting rooms. We hardly used the balcony, but the balcony rooms are bigger. Last time we had a family balcony room (on the Dream) and it was great. My tip for you would be to stay midship. Any deck is fine - the pool and buffet are on deck 11 on the Dream, restaurants are on decks 3 and 4, and all of the character meet and greets are on decks 4 and 5. Kids club is on deck 5.

The porthole windows are HUGE so there is plenty of light. We stayed on Deck 2 on Dream (same exact layout as Fantasy)and absolutely loved not having to rely on the elevator to get everywhere other than the pool. Restaurant was on our level, one flight of stairs up to lobby and characters, etc.
