If your kids play t-ball/baseball
When do you typically hear from the coach? I am seeing online that things start next week but I see nothing for my twins' team and we haven't heard from the coach yet. This is their first year so I am not sure what we are supposed to do. I go pick up the uniforms tomorrow so I am going to ask then, but I was just wondering if we should have heard from the coach by now.....

My older son started last year.
It depends on your coach, some are on the ball and you get the call right away ......my experience was last minute.
I think I may have 2 last minute coaches this year for both of my boys

We start next weekend. I heard from the coach about a month ago - they have had 2 informal practices (kind of to get to know each other).
But, our little league is extremely organized. For soccer - we found out about a week before the season started.

Thanks ladies. My twins were late sign ups but I still feel like the coach should be on top of things. I will certainly speak to whoever is there when I pick up uniforms tomorrow evening to see if I can get some information.

We start after Spring break, which is the weekend of April 18th. I heard from the Coach last week welcoming us to the team and a few other things he wanted to tell us regarding getting uniforms, etc.
Since you are getting the uniform tomorrow you should mention it.

Yes I will definitely mention it. Looking at the website for our towns teams it looks like there are 4 t-ball teams and 3 out of 4 teams already have times set up and are starting the batting cages already. I am guessing my twins' team is that fourth team. I found out about picking up uniforms from the website. I know it's just a little kids t-ball team but I feel like the coaches should be more into it and on top of things.

Wow, my town is bootleg. I never get a call from the coach for T-ball. I'm pretty sure they don't even know who the coaches are till the week we start. I sign up and get a hat and an oversized T-shirt for DS and show up on the date we start.

Ours is very unorganized too and I called and they told me that I should be getting a call sometime this week as opening day is the 18th also.

I'm in CT, but our Town's league is very organized. We received a call from the coach a few weeks ago. Practice was supposed to start last weekend (postponed due to snow still on the fields) and we have been getting email updates from the league 1-2 times per week about the status of the fields.

I wish our league was like this! I'm glad to know its not just our league but it's so frustrating.

It was the coach to let us know when everything was starting and my dh volunteered to help so he wanted to talk to him about that also.
