Which ride on toy would you get for 1 year old?
My DD will be 1 so it would be her "big" bday gift.
Anyone have an opinion or like/dislike one of these?
I am debating between the:
Radio Flyer Pink 4 in 1 Trike
Step2 Pink Whisper Ride Buggy

we got our DD the 4 in 1 radio flyer trike for her 1st birthday and I couldn't be happier. we LOVE it. such a great investment

Which ride on toy would you get for 1 year old?
Yes, that radio flyer does turn into a trike. I had a question for the girls that have it tho. If my DD isn't pedaling will her legs just be dragging? lol Or will her legs kinda hang but not touch the ground? I dont think she will know to keep her feet on the pedals while I push..

We got her both for her 1st birthday. She LOVES the push one. She's in it everyday and now at almost 20 mos she goes in it by herself, pretty much buckles the belt, and waits for one of us to push her! It's so funny and really cute.
We haven't used the radio flyer for the reason that you mentioned about her being able to peddle. Now that she's older, I think it will be easier and I'm going to have DH put it together in the next month or so as it warms up so she can use it.

I don't have the radio flyer so I can't speak to that, but we got our DD a Step2 Whisper Ride of her 1st bday this Jan and she loves it! We kept it in our playroom all winter and she loves going in it whether or not we're pushing it.

i dont have this one but if you are concerned about feet hanging have you considered the smart trike? I had this with DD and it has a foot rest for when they aren't pedaling.

When Julian turned one he received the Radio Flyer and the pedals got in the way and kept hitting/interfering with his feet. So, he did place is feet closer to the wheel to try and avoid this from happening and then got grease all over his socks. It became frustrating. Then it is like he wants to try and pedal with them because they are there. I wish he would just let his feet dangle straight down but his legs are so long they would scrape the ground! I tried to take the pedals off but you can't... it is all attached with the wheel.
I know, from my babysitting days, I never had this problem with the Smart Trike. The weather turned and we haven't needed a trike yet but now with the Spring/Summer coming I'm going to buy the Smart Trike... I saw a commercial recently that the new one is new and improved with even better wheels and steering.
I loved it when I babysat - used it daily.

We have the step2 buggy (but maybe a not so soured up version) and dd loved it last year. For your daughters age, I think she will love it!

Which ride on toy would you get for 1 year old?
I have that buggy in red and my son just adores it. He turns the wheel and waves to everyone. We also have a 3 in 1 trike and a truck that we haven't opened yet.
