Another Dom Rep question

I was reading that we neednto purchase a tourist card but this can be done bore entering the country so we dont have to wait on long lines.

1. Is it true that you need a tourist card if coming from the us?
2. Has anyone purchased in advance online? I just dont want to get scammed into buying something I dont need.

This is true. Anyone entering the DR does need a tourist visa regardless of age. You could either be prepared by having the exact $$ ready or you can purchase online prior to going. We ALWAYS purchase ahead of time it saves time. If you are landing in Punta Cana, in the old terminal, go to the right along the bathrooms and if you land in the new terminal, it is clearly marked where you should go.
