Magic Kingdom & WDW places to eat with 13 month old
We'll be in Orlando when DS turns 13 months.
We're going to play a day at MK by ear - pending his mood. If we do go to the park:
1) what's a good itinerary for the day? He won't be able to go straight, so we're trying to figure out best time to arrive, which attractions to hit first, go back to hotel for a nap, etc.
2) what are the best spots to eat in MK?
3) Do we need a fast pass?
Not MK related: 4) Also looking for breakfast/dinner recommendations. Looking for places with good food for the adults and entertainment for DS. We already plan to go to 1900 Park at GF and possibly the dinner show at Polynesian - both things I remember loving as a kid. What else is there?
5) I don't want to do a day at Animal Kingdom but I'd love for DS to catch a glimpse of the animals. Can they be seen jst by visiting the resort and/or dining at one of their restaurants?
Thank you!!!

1- be there at rope drop and try to hit the rides you really think he would enjoy- probably Dumbo, It's a Small World, etc... The younger kid rides are fairly close to each other. 2- I don't love anything I've eaten in MK. I think it's all fine, but no standouts for me. 3- isfast pass necessary? No. But if you're staying at Disney, why wouldn't you take advantage of fast pass? I would definitely use it for things that can get a crazy line like Peter Pan. 4- we don't stay on property, so I don't really have any recommendations. But I do hear people always mention Chef Mickey for breakfast and I hear good things about the African restaurant in animal Kingdom Lodge. 5- I think you can see some live animals at AK Lodge. If you don't need "real" animals, you can do the T-Rex Restaurant or Rainforest Cafe.

For a day in mk I would arrive just before the park opens. Head straight to fantasyland. If you can book a fastpass for Peter Pan for just before lunch time. If not, go there first. Then spend the morning riding things like small world, carousel, dumbo, pooh, little mermaid. Either book lunch at be our guest or go to Columbia harbor house. Then leave and head back to your hotel.
If you decide to go back in the evening it's really a toss up as to what else to see. You could do frontier land and adventure land where ds might like jungle cruise, pirates, the magic carpets and the country bears. Or you could do tomorrow land and see buzz light year, astro orbiters and tta. If the adults plan on doing any big rides I would book fastpasses for the evening for things like splash mtn, big thunder or space mtn.
As far as other places to eat I personally love hoop dee doo revue but it's pricey. Others swear by chef mickeys for breakfast.
I'm fairly certain you can see animals at animal kingdom lodge. And one of the restaurants has a savanna view. I think it's Sanaa. I've never been there though.

You ladies are the best! Thank you for the info. I still don't understand the fastpass concept - so you can get a fast pass for particular rides/attractions or is it just one general pass that you can use as you please? My parents own a timeshare so we are not staying on w Disney property, if that matters.

I strongly recommend eating dinner at Sanaa at Animal Kingdom. We just went a month ago. The food was excellent, best out of any Disney dining we've ever had. You can see the animals, plus you can walk right outside to a fire pit area and see them too. There is a great full bar right there, it was very relaxing & enjoyable.
