Spring Break Options?
Why are resorts nearby so expensive for spring break period? Our spring break is the first week of April and when we checked pricing for several places, the cost are at least 2x what it would be for off peak season!
We looked at Great Wolf, Rocking Horse Ranch and Woodloch Pines - they are all about 500/night! During the summer the prices are alot less - half to 2/3 the cost. :P
I'm about to give up looking nearby and do a cruise or just fly down to Florida where it's warmer and you get alot more for your money!

Re: Spring Break Options?
Because you said it - it's 'peak season'. It's simply supply and demand. ESPECIALLY for the resorts within driving distance because families don't have to spend the additional funds on airfare.
You're probably better off searching a destination that isn't historically 'spring break' ish ...........

Spring Break Options?
No matter where you go that week you will be spending a premium. Its Easter and passover. They are always expensive.

I am staying at a luxury resort in Florida- I am talking 5 star- next month, for less than that. I would never pay that price for those places regardless if it was spring break or not.

Re: Spring Break Options?
Everything is jacked up during the breaks. You won't find airfare that is decent this late in the game, so unless you are driving, FL might be out also!

Re: Spring Break Options?
If I were you I would look on groupon and see if any of the travel deals are good over spring break. That's probably your best bet
