2 & 3 year olds - entertainment on the go/baby bag?
What do you keep in your baby bag or in the car to entertain your DC? I usually just bring stickers, crayons and paper for restaurants/waiting rooms/just out but lately DD isn't having it. It doesn't seem to be enough. I brought a card game last time and that was terrible because she just threw the cards everywhere. I have a melissa and doug water wow (paint with water book) that I should carry in my bag. But beyond that, I'm clueless. Any advice?

At restaurants, bread or edamame (we showed them how to peel it themselves) is enough to entertain. If we are at a really fancy restaurant (2 hour meal), we bring iPads or iPhones.
In waiting rooms, we let them bring 1 figurine each.
There are times that are harder than others, but I try to let them entertain themselves or just sit for a while (obviously doesn't work at 1.5, but it did at somewhere between 2&3).

I bring different toys each time. Before we leave the house I say grab a toy or two and then I throw them in my bag.
I always have a few crayons in my purse and if I know we are going somewhere I really need him to be quiet then I grab the ipad and his headphones.
