Orange Lake - FL East or West

What is the difference between Orange Lake East and West? I am thinking about only doing Universal for a few days and mostly hanging at the resort the rest of the time.

Re: Orange Lake - FL East or West

The rooms in the West Village have been recently updated, but the ones in the East Village were really nice and still new looking when we were there. I believe the layouts are very similar. I liked that the East Village is smaller, but the West Village has an awesome pool area and restaurant. It isn't a far ride between the villages, and we chose to spend the days at River Island instead.

We prefer to stay in the villas in the West Village. All of the units in the East Village, and a portion of the West Village, are apartment style. We like having a patio on the golf course.

We stayed in the west villas. We had a 2 bed 2 bath unit in the first floor by the tennis courts. We like the location.

That's part if the West Village, but it's more of an apartment style unit. We prefer the actual villas. But the location of the high rise buildings is better in terms of being closer to the pool and lake. You can easily walk it, where as the villas are either a long walk or short drive. But we don't mind driving.
