Lab for 6 month old blood draw? nassau county
Please recommend a place to get my LO's blood drawn. Someplace that is great with babies. We have an allergist appointment this week and will probably be getting a script for blood allergy testing (they don't draw blood in office). We are in Nassau, so that is preferred.

We had DS's 1 year blood draw at Quest in Mineola and they were great. Very quick. If you are going through Quest, you can make the appt online and you select pediatric blood draw.

I was supposed to get DD's done at a year but was a wimp and took her when she was 17 mos.
We went to Good Sam. They were wonderful. DH was with me so he sat with her on his lap. A technician to draw and another that helped so she wouldn't move. It only took a few minutes. I was terrified but it went very smoothly.
If you decide on Good Sam, just call before you go to make sure they take your insurance.
ETA. Sorry saw Nassau County after I posted. If you're stuck, think about GS.

We went to a lab affiliated with LIJ. It was on 800 Northern Blvd., in Great Neck.

I took DD at a year old to the LIJ lab on Hicksville Road in Bethpage. They did a great job with her.

Is this the one next to singletons? My pediatrician told me to go to this one.

Yup, that's the one. It was recommended by my ped as well.

NS LIJ Lab in Bethpage, next to Singletons. Ask for Satinder. She is incredible! Always gets DC blood on the first try. DC rarely cries. Saturdays are CRAZY busy there.
