Repost- making deserts for party ahead of time
I'm going to make white cupcakes with green frosting and gummi frogs on top. I can make the cupcakes and not frost them until the morning of the party. I'm also planning on making dirt cups. I was thinking maybe I could make the pudding, mix in the cool whip and some cookie crumbles and then put them in small cups and put them in the fridge. Then the morning of the party I will top with gummi worms and more "dirt". The party is Saturday morning. Do you think I could make either of these on either Thursday or Friday? I think we might have a snow day Thursday, so I would love to knock something out if I could. I'm also off Friday, so I could do it then too. I was hoping to do maybe one each day.

IMO dirt is always better after being in the fridge overnight (minus worms). Not sure about cupcakes.

I think your plan is great on both! Do you have a cupcake keeper? Or a container to keep the cupcakes? I think if you did the cupcakes the day before it would be fine!

Yes, I so. I always do my cupcakes a day ahead of time and they're always super moist. People always comment on them. I think the trick is I use a cupcake machine rather then doing gem in the oven. I'm just wondering if I can get away with doing them today since I'll be stuck home all day anyway. Or maybe making the pudding cups, but not adding the worms and cookies until the morning of.
