Speaking of being racist...
Did anyone see Real world exes 2 challenge?
Leroy and Nia, the only two black people left in the house won the challenge and their special meal was fried chicken! I loved how Leroy totally called out MTV on that one. But he is totally right, I always see the winners meal as pizza and they get fried chicken?! I am sure it was an oversight on mtvs part and they weren't trying to be racist but I always figured the winners got to pick their special meal.

Speaking of being racist...
I think technically that is stereotyping? Like all black people eat fried chicken , all Asians are smart, all blondes are dumb. I think the real convo needs to be what is the difference between racism and a stereotype. Either way, that was a poor choice by MTV.

Its racial stereotypying.
In some cases it's ignorance but stuff like black people must love fried chicken and watermelon for example do send off racist red flags at first. I actually saw a judge award damages because a woman taunted her AA coworker by leaving fried chicken in her cube on multiple occasions.

I don't think so. I just looked up the meaning of racist cause it's been thrown around a lot these days. Racist - a person who believes that a particular race is superior to another.
So I think if someone is stereotyping they are ignorant, not necessarily a racist.

I don't think so. I just looked up the meaning of racist cause it's been thrown around a lot these days. Racist - a person who believes that a particular race is superior to another.
So I think if someone is stereotyping they are ignorant, not necessarily a racist.
I think racist will ofcourse stereotype and have hate and anger for for a race. But a person saying a stereotype doesn't automatically deem them a racists.
It may have been an oversight or who knows it may have been a black person behind the scenes that said they will probably enjoy fried chicken. I know, if they served me rice and beans I would have made a joke because I'm spanish. But I also would have enjoyed it lol.
Now I want fried chicken.

Maybe they chose the meal?So I did a search for a fried chicken spot on my iPad. Shortly after that search, Facebook suggested a black meet up group for me ! I couldn't figure out WTH, and realized may have been my fried chicken search

No they didn't order it. I didn't even notice what they were eating, Leroy the winner went on a little rant which was really funny kind of making fun of MTV. Like everyone gets pizza except the two black people in the house get fried chicken. But he said it was good and he did enjoy it! It was actually really funny the way he said it and I am sure there was no malintent. Maybe whoever won would have gotten that as a meal, but it was a coindidence.
