Formula help
Twins have been on gerber gentle good start for 2.5 months now (they are 4.5 months) but last week they haven't been interested in eating and push away bottle. We've been to dr. and they are fine. I was thinking maybe try a new formula. Any suggestions what is good? They need something broken down, b/c while now allergy regular formula makes them constipated. Which one does Enfamil make or Similac Sensitive? TIA!

Formula help
My son was on Gerber Good Start. It was highly recommended to me by cousin who is pediatric GI doc. Maybe they are beginning to teeth? Switching formulas can really screw around with their systems. We tried switching my son around that age because he had bad reflux, not GERD but just spit up all day, and it didn't help. We just stayed with Gerber because he tolerated it otherwise.

I wouldn't rush to switch formulas if the Gerber is generally working. Babies will go through times when they won't eat as much. Unless they are not eating at all then I'd worry and if that's the case I'm sure the dr would say something also.

I wouldn't switch formulas just because they aren't as interested in eating.
It could be teething, they could be coming down with something, it could be just a phase.
Babies aren't like adults- they don't stop eating because they don't like the formula.
Switching formulas is not a good thing, unless it's medically necessary.
I'd stick with it and check with your ped.

Thanks/ I think you're all right. I think I was looking for a fix bc they r both doing it and as a result waking up 3 times a night at different times- I'm going crazy n they don't seem happy. They r definitely starting to teeth- guess I just have to get through this phase

Formula help
Stick with it unless there's a bigger issue. From experience, and my pediatrician said too, don't play the formula game.

I agree! I would give it some time and see what happens. If they are still refusing and show other signs of intolerance of the formula, then I would contact your ped and take it from there.

My son was great with the formula we had originally given him until randomly one day he didn't want it anymore and when he did eat it, it gave him gas issues, etc. So, we switched to Similac Sensitive Liquid for Fussy/Gas. The bottle color is orange. The ped suggested this. Best thing we ever did!
