Why does he wake up at 5am???
Every morning, no matter what time he goes to bed....early, late, no matter what he eats, Jack wakes up at 5am! I can't take it anymore. He won't sleep more than 9 hours at night. If I keep him up later with the hopes he'll sleep in...nope! He;s up at 5am. If i put him to bed earlier...count forward 9 hours and he is up.
Can anyone suggest a way to get him to sleep longer at night???

Re: Why does he wake up at 5am???
We had that issue for a LONG time. What finally worked was sticking to the earlier bedtime and letting him CIO at 5 am. The first night was awful, the second was barely a cry and by the 3rd - there were only whimperings and then he would go back to bed

I let her cry for a while, sometimes she will drift on and off for a bit but then gets hysterical and i usually end up feeding her a little and putting her to sleep in her swing.

Re: Why does he wake up at 5am???
I made a new rule this morning that he is not allowed out of his room until 7am. So at 5am I went in, put him back in bed and left. He cried, threw things and eventually went back to bed only to wake up at 6am and I did the same thing. I think I will just use the CIO method like I used to do to put him to bed, to keep him in bed in the morning. Thanks!
