Floral Park moms

We just moved to Floral Park on the 10th. I have a DS who will be 4 in May, another DS who will be 2 on 3/25, and I am due with twin girls in 5 weeks. We moved here from Commack (DH & I are both from Queens- Whitestone & Bayside- and we hated being so far from the city). We are so excited to be here! We decided on Park Pediatrics on Jericho, and I am pretty sure we are going to do Red Robin in Westbury for summer camp for my oldest and OLV for Pre-K in September. But other than that, we need suggestions!

Day care? We were at the Tutor Time in East Northport and loved it. Any idea how the one in NHP is? Mommy & me classes? My oldest was taking soccer shots classes in Commack & I would like him to do something like it in the summer. Some kind of music classes that I can take with the twins when they are a bit older? Indoor play places, nice parks, whatever you can suggest to me would be so helpful! Thanks so much!!

Re: Floral Park moms

My daughter is currently at john lewis childs in prek. Im so happy with her teacher. She loves school. She goes three times a week tues-thur n once a month on a monday for small group instruction. She also does saturday enrichment classes at floral park bellerose.. Relatively cheap! There r a ton of classes to choose from. Next year he can do that even if he goes to olv.
In the summer join the pool.. Brand new pool.. Cant wait to see it.. Swimming lessons are free or you can pay 25 fir private lessons
The park where the pool is located is ok.. My daughter does arts n crafts in the summer for free.
I go to park pediatrics as well n see dr delarusso..Very happy!
There is also a mother's club in the methodist church on verbena avenur. They offer music classes too!
Unfortunately one thing this town lacks is indoor play places.
My First School on verbena ave does offer a 2 year old mommy n me or separation classes for ur Ds for next year. There is also Bright Horizons on plainfield ave which has various programs as well.
Please feel free to fm n ask questions. I cant express how much i love this village!! N good luck with ur twins on the way. Ur goin ro b a busy mama!!

Not in FP but close enough - just wanted to comment that tutor time in NHP tends to get great reviews but has a ridiculous waiting list. So definitely call now if it's on your radar at all!

Thank you! We are zoned for Floral Park-Bellerose school. I thought about doing Pre-K through the district but I would prefer 5 full days, especially since I will have my hands full at home and I think he will enjoy school more than being home with me, his wild toddler brother, and his screaming newborn sisters. Chat Icon I will look into the pool, I am not sure how often I would get there this year with the babies but DH could probably take the boys on the weekends. I will also definitely look into the enrichment classes, I think he will love those. Thanks again Chat Icon
