to have a tuna sandwich every once in a while? Someone at my job was eating it during lunch and it looked so good. I can't even remember the last time I had one.

Re: is it ok

yes, I think they say no more that 2 servings a week. Just make sure you get it from a reputable place.

I had on earlier this week for breakfast! I had been craving it for a while and had to have it then.

For canned tuna, I was told no albacore tuna...just the chunk light tuna.

Albacore has a higher mercury content than light tuna. I pulled this from March of Dimes website:

"Eat up to 12 ounces (two average meals) a week of a variety of fish and shellfish that are lower in mercury. Five of the most commonly eaten fish that are low in mercury are shrimp, canned light tuna, salmon, pollock, and catfish. Another commonly eaten fish, albacore ("white") tuna, has more mercury than canned light tuna. When choosing two meals of fish and shellfish, women may eat up to 6 ounces (one average meal) of albacore tuna per week."

According to this, it's okay in moderation.
