Jay Z hit with paternity suit

Looks like Hova can add another problem to his list of 99.
Jay Z has been blasted with a paternity suit that claims he blatantly lied to a New Jersey court to avoid taking a DNA test that could prove he’s the father of a secret love child — who is now 21 years old, according to legal documents.
Rymir Satterthwaite alleges that his mother, Wanda, hooked up with the 45-year-old rapper and entrepreneur in the early 1990s and the two engaged in numerous sex romps before Shawn Corey Carter had become the megastar he is today, the National Enquirer reports.

Acting through legal guardian and paralegal Lillie Coley, Satterthwaite filed a civil lawsuit in December 2014 in which he accused Jay Z of lying in court when he tried to weasel out of taking a paternity test. Satterthwaite has been fighting to get Jay Z to take the test since 2010, when Wanda took the entertainer to court after it was declared that another man in question was not the father.

But the case eventually was dismissed by New Jersey Superior Court Judge Edward McBride Jr. on the basis that he did not have jurisdiction to preside over the proceedings. Jay Z’s attorney had previously argued that his client was living in Manhattan at the time, the National Enquirer reports.

The dismissal opened the door for Coley to file her suit in December, claiming the rapper lied when he said he resided in New York. She argued that Jay Z had provided “fraudulent” and “false” information to the judge and that he in fact owned three homes in the Garden State, according to the court papers.

Coley and Satterthwaite also claimed that Jay Z bald-faced lied when he said his legal residence was on Broadway in Manhattan, when that is actually an address listed for offices he owned.

The legal documents, which were revealed Wednesday, are so shocking that they could now pose a serious threat to Jay Z’s seven-year marriage to Beyonce, according to the National Enquirer.

“Beyonce is in pieces over what a divorce means to her,” an unidentified family friend told the National Enquirer. “But if Jay Z has fathered a love child, I’m sure she wouldn’t have any option. There’s only so much anyone can take!”
Back in 2011, allegations emerged that the hip-hop icon had fathered a young boy with Trinidad model Shenelle Scott — but Jay Z never fessed up to being the daddy despite reports that he paid her $1 million to keep his name off the birth certificate, according to The Enquirer.

Re: Jay Z hit with paternity suit

1. Why would this affect his marriage to Beyonce? This would have happened well before they were together.

2. Why would his having a primary residence in NY mean that he wouldn't have to take a paternity test if the mother and child lived in NJ?

3. He's still an arse for refusing the test (if it's true)

So, the article states that the "child" is now 21 years old. So, this happened 21 years ago. I agree with PP...I don't see how this affects his marriage with Beyoncé in any way. I also want to know what the point of the mother filing a suit against Jay Z is at this point. If the child is 21, it's not like Jay Z would be paying child support. The child isn't even a child anymore. It's an adult. An adult whose father clearly wants nothing to do with them. I don't see what they're getting out of filing this suit to be honest.

Jay Z hit with paternity suit

I don't believe anything the National Enquirer has to say. And this was way before him and Beyoncé got together so it should have no bearing on their marriage.

She can get back child support for the first 18 years of her kid's life... and if I were looking for a payday, 18 years of back child support plus interest from someone who has Jay Z's money???? Jackpot.

Wouldn't he just have to pay a percentage of what he made when he was in his twenties? Jay Z has a lot more money now than he did back then.
