My first was preemie 3lbs 13oz and by a year I don't know lbs but he was wearing 9-12 m clothes
My second was 8lbs 9oz and now 1 year at 24lbs (size 18-24m!!)

Ds 8lbs 11oz at brith and 26.5lbs at a year old- he's a tank!! Lol

How much did your child weigh at birth and at 1 year old
He was 9lbs 1 oz at birth. At 1 year he was about 23 lbs I think.
My Ped told us that babies should almost triple their birth weight by 1 year typically.

DS was 10lb 9oz at birth. He was right around 25lbs at a year. I forgot the exact weight. Bad mommy!

12 Months: 32 lbs
HUGE -- and that was only 95% for weight because the height was SO off the chart that the weight, even at 32 lbs wasn't off the chart!!
I remember the doc calling in the other doc in the practice and then him calling in three medical school students to marvel at his chart

Get outta here lol. Show us a pic of that big boy. Anyone in your family really big? My father in law was 6'5 and my daughter has always been about 50th% and my son so far is about 75% for height. Wondering if he will be big like grandpa.

I get this question all of the time and the funny thing is, his father is not a big person by any means -- he is about 5'8'' and I'm 5'7'', which is on the taller side for a chick. His side of the family are all pretty much the same - the men are short, the women are shorter. So, it's odd.
However, my side are vikings my father is a little over six feet, my brother is the same, my uncles (father's brothers) are 6'4'' and 6'6'' and my grandaddy was the smallest at 6'3'' - his father, they called "Tiny" because he was the smallest out of four boys at 6'6''
So, perhaps he got the height from my side?? I'm thinking?? Unless he just took off growth-wise and will slow down a little over the next year or so? We shall see!
He is pretty solid too - like, he's long and lean but he has broad shoulders and a huge head with gigantic feet and hands. I remember when he was first born - I was like, damn his hands are huge are they not?! And then my father came in to meet him when I was in recovery and he goes, OMG his hands are gigantic
I'll post some recent pics -- he wears 3T and 4T clothing and he just turned seventeen months. He was in 2T clothing at like ten months old. It was insane. People would look at me like WHY is she carrying a three year old?! Meanwhile, he was like a BABY and they think, because of his size, that he was much older. A lot of them would give me looks when he had his binky in his mouth like wow, that mother is letting her FOUR YEAR OLD have a binky I would go out of my way to make sure he didn't have a binky when we were at the mall or something for that very reason
The funniest part was I had his sign made for his birthday -- his first birthday party --- and it said 31 pounds because that's what he was when I had it made and it was delivered about a week before the party and he had a well visit the day before his birthday party and he was 32 lbs LOL I'm like, I can't keep up!
This was from about a month ago:
From when he was thirteen months old:
The size of him next to Santa makes me chuckle bc his feet, out of the picture, are practically touching the floor LOL:
This was in the end of November, so he was fourteen months or so...
Early November:
On his first birthday:
and he has super strength -- he can throw a ball across the entire house
I have very long legs so I'm guessing it comes from me??

Ok 1 he is gorgeous
2 yes he looks big but I think I was expecting like a freak of nature lol. I am sure if he was next to my son who is only the 20th%for weight at 11m he would look huge. My son eats like a beast and still stays so skinny (my dream) )lol

Yeah he isn't like "the missing link" / "big foot" looking type THANK GOD...
My cousin, when he was little, he was like that -- he looked like a freak or King Kong or something
