Re: Child's Party Time

Depends... if it's a family/friends party then I say the later time. When we have house parties with family and friends we'd prefer later and everyone is welcome to stay later. I have drinks for adults, tons of food, juice, apps, snacks, etc.

If it's a party for school friends then I say earlier.

ETA - for close friends and family I don't put an end time.

Consider your own kid's nap time & ask your VIPs about their kids' nap times.

Mine napped 1-3, so I would do earlier or later.

I like the early time slot because it gives people the rest of the day "off".

Re: Child's Party Time

I would avoid 2-4 because that inferred with most kids nap time plus I hate when my kids eat cake right before thy eat dinner. It screws everything up. I like parties ending before 1:00 or starting after 3:30 so I can persevere naps and meal times. 2-4 would be awkward.

Child's Party Time

Def earlier. It's before naptime and gives your guests the rest of the day to enjoy

Re: Child's Party Time

For me, my son naps anywhere between 9:30am - 11am and wakes anywhere between 11am - 1pm so the times for the earlier party would not work at all for my son. I think each kids differs a bit ya know? So, I wouldn't base it on that.

For us, 2-4 would be better.

But, I want to make sure I mention, even if you did it earlier I would just work around it. It's one day - do what's best for you and people will accommodate. As a mom I'm BIG on adapting MY kid to the world, not the world to my kid KWIM?
